Terms
Terms of use
Draft dated 25 October 2026. The apps are not in the stores. These terms are a template for counsel, published so the intended rules are visible.
This draft
These terms describe Gen GiggZ, a hyperlocal gig marketplace for short jobs, launching in Bengaluru. They are not the terms of a registered company, because that company does not exist yet. When an entity is registered, the final terms will name it. Nothing here is a CIN, a GSTIN, or a registered office.
If you use the product after the final terms are published, those final terms are the ones that bind. This draft is here so you can read the intended rules before that day. It is not legal advice.
The service
Gen GiggZ is a place where a person can find short work nearby, or hire someone local for a short job, or both. Delivery, cleaning, AC and appliance repair, home cooking, loading and moving, and events are examples, not a closed list.
The apps are for iOS and Android. They are not listed yet. Store badges on gengiggz.com stay on Coming soon until a real listing URL is configured.
Who can use it
You must be 18 or older. The product is not directed at children. You must be able to enter a contract under Indian law. You are responsible for the accuracy of what you put on a job.
Accounts
Sign-in is your phone number and a one-time code. You are responsible for the phone number you use, and for telling us if you lose control of it. We may refuse an account that looks abusive, duplicated in order to evade a block, or impossible to secure.
Work and Hire
One account can work, hire, or both. Work and Hire are modes. Switching modes does not create a second set of safety rules. Masking, the start code, and in-app payment apply in both.
Who the job is between
A job is an arrangement between the person who posts it and the person who accepts it. This draft does not call workers employees of Gen GiggZ, and it does not call Gen GiggZ the employer of record. Whether any employment, contractor, tax, or intermediary obligation applies is a question for counsel before these terms are final. Do not treat this paragraph as a concluded legal position.
Gen GiggZ is the marketplace: the account, the job record, the chat, the start code, and the payment flow. It does not itself cook the meal or carry the sofa.
Codes, location, and chat
Personal details such as phone numbers are masked between users. You will not ask someone to move the conversation to a personal number in order to dodge that.
A job starts when both people confirm with a one-time code. Location may be shared only during an active job, and only so the two people can meet. You will not treat that location as permission to track someone afterwards.
Chat can be reviewed for abuse. Do not send identity documents, passwords, or card numbers in chat.
The server checks permission on every request. Trying to read another person’s job, chat, payment, or location is a breach of these terms even if a screen briefly allows it.
Acceptable use
You will not:
- Post or accept work that is illegal.
- Harass, threaten, or discriminate.
- Pretend to be another person, or invent a check that did not happen.
- Ask for a phone number, a document, or an off-app payment in order to avoid the product’s safety tools.
- Scrape the service, probe it, or attempt to access data you are not allowed to see.
- Use the service if you are under 18.
Payments
Hirers pay in the app. Workers withdraw in the app. The rate is shown before a worker accepts. Any fee, and the timing of a withdrawal, will be shown before you confirm. Those figures are not in these draft terms because they are not final.
Gen GiggZ is not a bank. Payment partners process card and bank details under their own terms. When a partner is appointed, the final terms will name the flow a person actually sees.
Suspension
An account can be paused or closed if these rules are broken, if a job puts someone at risk, or if the law requires it. Where it is safe to say why, we will say why. A safety hold does not wait for a perfect explanation if someone is at a door.
The name and your content
The Gen GiggZ name, the wordmark, and the product are not yours to copy. You keep the rights in the text and images you create. You give the marketplace permission to display that material as needed to run the job and to keep a record of it. You will not post content you have no right to post.
Liability
A final cap, a list of exclusions, and any indemnity will be written by counsel. This draft does not invent a rupee cap. Nothing in this draft limits liability that Indian law does not allow a contract to limit, including liability that cannot be excluded under the DPDP Act or any other statute that applies.
The marketplace does not guarantee that a worker will arrive, that a hirer will pay outside the app, or that a job will be done to a standard the two people did not write down. The final terms will be more precise. They will not pretend the product is responsible for every act inside a home.
Law
The laws of India apply. The courts that will hear disputes will be named when the operating entity is registered. This draft does not pick a city in order to look finished.
When the apps are listed, the store’s terms also apply to the download. Those terms are the store’s, not these.
Changes
Final terms can change. If a change is material, the product will say so before it applies to you, in the way counsel and the law require. The date on this page will change when the draft changes. A change to a draft is not, by itself, a change to a contract that is not yet in force.
Contact
Questions about personal data also belong in the draft privacy notice, which is the place that talks about the DPDP Act, 2023.
