About

Built for the neighbourhood, not the whole map.

Gen GiggZ — GiG, for short — is a marketplace for short jobs that happen nearby. It is launching in Bengaluru.

Most short jobs are already local. The app should be too.

A cleaner who already knows the lanes. A cook who can reach the flat before lunch. A shop that needs another pair of hands for a delivery. That work is local. A city-wide feed makes it feel further away than it is.

You can join as a worker, a hirer, or both. Work and Hire are modes, not two products. You switch when your day changes.

The name is light on purpose. The jobs underneath it — someone in your home, someone carrying your things — are not. The product has to be trustworthy enough for that, and still feel human.

Where things stand

What is true today.

  • The iOS and Android apps are not in the stores. The badges on this site say Coming soon until the listing URLs exist.
  • There is no user count, rating, press logo, or funding announcement here. Publishing one would be fiction.
  • Gen GiggZ is not yet a registered company. A legal name, office address, CIN, and GSTIN will be published when they exist. Until then, write to contact@gengiggz.com.
  • DigiLocker and a Work Passport are planned ways to confirm identity. They are not switched on.
  • The privacy notice and the terms are draft templates, pending legal review, and they say so on the page.

One note, when the apps are listed. No drip. See the draft privacy notice.
